I haven't added everything up but I think I have spent about $2,000 . I know it depends on how large your family is but as an example I have 2 children and 2 grandchildren, husband and daughter-in-law, my parents and a few friends to buy for. (Husbands parents are deceased)

I have 1 child, husband, mother and I spend about $500

I don't know an exact figure, but I know it is too much. I tend to over do it when it comes to buying for others.

Well, I've spent about $50 on secret santa stuff for a co-worker... $300 for a powerwheels for my daughter (that way I can say I bought her first car before she was even out of pampers)... $200 on my gift from my wife (don't ask)... I have no idea what to buy my wife though...

I always set aside $2,000 for Christmas, and usually spend less. I have spent anywhere between $850 and $1,800. This year it was probably $1,000. But that Christmas fund includes cards and stamps, replacement decorations, the tree, dinner out with my family, and gas to get to my family and then his family.

This is the first Christmas we have had money to spend in quite a while so we have really gone crazy.

Normally we spend ~$30 a piece on Cousins and Aunts and Uncles, but this year it was double.

This is also the first year my little one is really into Christmas so we spent more on toys.

My family is too big, we don’t bother with gifts (except for the little ones such as my grand niece). It's always fun spoiling the little ones.

I compromised, I ripped the head off a Camilla doll and attached it to a stuffed donkey (sort of like the odd toys in Toy Story).

Just added it up. $1,024.72, not counting the coming weekend, which will probably run $300 for gas and dinner out. And then anohter $50 in gas for Christmas weekend.

Wow! I want to be adopted by all of you! I am spending about $300 total. Most of my gifts are handmade.

Usually around $300 on each kid (so $600 there)

I usually spend 10-20 on each nephew (I wish I had a niece)...so about $100.

Then I buy all my sisters and my parents pictures of the kids. By the time you throw in a new outfit for them to wear and frames that's about $250-$300.

This year I bought a new tree...but no new decorations...yet.

Ouch! That's a lot.

I spend a little more on my parents (usually by going in on something big with two of my sisters)
I spent a lot on my girlfriend - more then on anyone else this year (possibly combined) and more then any other girlfriend ever. I got her a silver Tiffany's Open Heart necklace, tickets to Wicked, and the 5th season of Friends (where I'm going to hide the tickets) - totaling around $400. I know it is a lot, but I know she got me something really good (my only clue is an "expensive toy"), and also she totally deserves it.

Man I wish I had the kind of money you folks have. We're probably not even topping $300, and it's not like we've got a small family. Of course my wife's gift doesn't really figure in since I made it myself. It's probably got a value of nearly $250, even though the materials were around $50 (sterling silver necklace and earring set with a total of 5 opals).

A little over $2,000 -- just for gifts.

I'm a little over $1500.00 this year, but I shop all year long so I don't feel it as bad at Christmas.
