Hey guys I am alive... for now. I just wanted to say that this will be my last post here on BOL. I found out some shocking news around Thanksgiving, but I was waiting for it to be confirmed by doctors. I have discovered a growth on my right pectoral - yes my "breast" if you want to call it that. I had a smiliar one in my left one, but it wasn't cancerous. This one is. I go in on Monday to get it removed, and start chemo. I don't konw how this is going to turn out, and for once I'm not scared. I've been doing all the things I've wanted to do, and I quit working. I went to Norway, went skydiving, and rented a Ferrari F40 for a day I just wanted to say a few things before I parted.
1. Live life - just do it. Its easy. Oh and laugh often... chicks dig it if you can make then laugh
2. Don't take everything so seriously, because if you do you're not doing number one correctly. There are plenty of opportunites to laugh in a day, make sure you seize each one. This goes especially for this place, as things have seem to have gotten quite rigid around here.
3. Don't squabble over little things. We are here on Earth too shortly. I mean I'm not even 20 and I don't know if I am going to see 21, so don't sweat the small stuff. If X ticks you off don't gripe about it, I find most of his posts are hysterical even if they offend people like myself - because he means well. Most of the time anyway

That's pretty much it. I will leave you guys with one little thing:

I'm sorry to hear of your illness and wish you the best of luck. It sounds like you have the right frame of mind to get through this.

Best of luck ZGuy - I don't know ya, but you sound like you will battle thru this head on - that's all you can do, right? The rest is up to modern medicine, good doctoring, good attitudes, and the support of your friends and family.

Wow, its crazy how things can change so much so quickly for you, but WHEN (not if) you get through this, maybe you will look back and see that it was just a wake up call for you to see all of those things that you mentioned about living life which most people never realize.

From one -Z- to another, my prayers are with you. Is there anyone here who knows you personally that can keep us apprised of your health?

ZGuy, you will be fine as long as you keep that attitude! From one survivor to another, stay positive and keep laughing. The chemo and tough stuff will be over before you know it and you will be waterskiing in the Bahamas and drinking Mai Tais in six months.

From someone who battled breast cancer 7 years ago and is still going strong (just ask my hubbie ) - here's hoping and praying that you too will be a "breast cancer survivor" (yes Virginia, men do get breast cancer and they too can survive it) Do what the Dr and nurses say while you are on chemo, it comes from experience. Eat what they say and even more important - don't eat what they tell you not to!!!! (learned that one the hard way ) Prayers and thoughts coming your way, keep us posted, we care.
