Pirate here. It turns out that the scare about DHS investing a student because he requested a copy of ... can't remember his name... Little Red Book. .. it's a hoax. I was able to order it, and nothing's happened yet. Also, I checked around and on boingboing it has a snippet on how the student admitted to lying about it. Case closed, no big brother... wait, who are those guys? Why are they dressed in black? OMG.. HELP!!!>...

Thanks for the update, Pirate. I hope that certain "non-bankers" will re-evaluate their opinion of the Bush administration, in light of the fact that they were duped by what was a (pretty easily-spotted) hoax. But, then, why would I hold them to a higher standard than a United States Senator?

Liberals do this all the time. How many newsmen and women have been fired for fabricating facts etc. I guess in order to make themselves look less socialist, they need to lie to the public.

My guess is that the primary intent is to render Mr. Delay ineffective, and that if that is accomplished through public disgrace, that would be just fine by Mr. Earle. A conviction, if he were able to dupe a jury, would be gravy.
