Initial Survivor spoilers for this season

Survivor premieres Feb 2.

The players will initially be divided into 4 teams of 4 people each. (I believe I called this after the preview....) The division is: Older Men vs Older Women and Younger Men vs Younger Women. However, in the 2nd episode, the 4 tribes become 2 via a schoolyard pick.

Melinda - 31, realtor/singer Dan - 52, frmer astronaut
Ruth Marie - older than 20s Shane - 35+, club prmter
Tina - 45, lumberjack Terry - 47, ex-Navy pilot

During each episode at least one player is banished to Exile Island, where they have to fend for themselves. There is a Hidden Immunity Idol on Exile Island (I believe I also called this one.)

There are major food issues and the players pretty much starve for the first 12 days. When they finally do get food, a lot of them get sick. One player gets so ill he has to leave the game (speculation is BRUCE.)

Episode 1 starts with a 2 day hike to the camp. Reward challenge ends in the losing team sending someone to exile. This person then competes as a solo team in the Immunity Challenge.

F4 - Tie vote. Broken with the fire building challenge a la Stephenie and Bobby Jon.

Finale - Young man & woman go F2, with astronaut at F3. The woman is not well liked and the young man wins by a large margin.

Panama. So not that exciting, considering they've just done Guatemala and the Pearl Islands in that area.

I have a problem with the "older" group including a 31 and 35 year old. What's up with that???

Sally is 27 and from Duluth, MN. She currently lives in Chicago and most recently worked as a social worker and soccer coach.

Tina - 45 is from Hayward, Wisc.

cant wait till its on again!...im going to go out on a limb and pick who I think is going to be the Sole Survivor and Im picking Danielle, not sure why but thats who im going with.

Hey Survivor fans - I received the Survivor DVD set The Complete First Season for my birthday. All I can say is that I LOVE LOVE loved it! I laughed so much!

If you're looking for about 20 hours of pure escapist fun, you must get it! With tax, it cost about $44.00 and it was worth every penny!

I can't wait for February 2nd!

Is there much other than what we saw on TV on the set?

Wow! Being originally from 2 minutes away from Duluth Minnesota and from Wisconsin I am happy with the 2 that are from by me!! One is at least a few years younger than me and the other is a quite few years older though.

MT - read the book on Season 1, it is very fun as well and has a lot of insight from MB and others that give you a good behind-the-scenes picture. Other seasons' books seem to just be a recap of the episodes, but Season 1 is good.

I know it's early, but any speculation on the 1st to to go?

Episode 1 Reward Challenge - race through the jungle. One of the younger teams loses.
Exiled - Misty
Immunity Challenge - some sort of water/raft race.
Most likely one of the younger women booted - either Misty or possibly Sally.

I'm so glad Survivor's back on! Yay!

I taped the episode, but saw a few minutes while getting some tea. I was very happy to see that 1 team already has fire! Finally!

3 of the 4 teams got fire on day 1 Barbarian.

I still can't believe the silly women got rid of the cocky woman who gave them fire, water, fish, and shelter. HELLO!?!?! Attach yourself to her coat tails, ride her abilities, and let her appearance of arrogance push her out ahead of you!

I can't believe how stupid the older women were. Initially I was rooting for them. They clearly should have voted off Cirie (sp) the black woman. Did anyone notice that she was paddling backwards? She is thier weakest link. I'm betting on the older men especially knowing that 2 have military training. Sounds like the cold turkey smoker may ask to leave. He's thier weakest link in my opinion.

They got rid of Tina because she was one of the strongest who did most of the work and they felt intiminated by her. That stinks. She is from my home state and I was really hoping she would go far.

My Hubby and I were discussing how the older men and women always get the camp all set up and going and then the younger one vote them out. Wow was that theory ever proven right last night. I didn't think the young girls would ever get anything done!

I really like the smallness of the tribes....no where to run to baby!!

I can't wait to watch the tape. I read a summary on the CBS website that said the young guys' played coconut baseball unitl it started to get dark, then realized they had no shelter. Is that true?? Too funny!
