We are currently looking at changing loan vendors and are looking at EasyLender, and Laser Pro. I am just looking for some feedback from any users of either system.

Thanks

We use Laser Pro for our commercial and consumer loans. I'm not a member of their fan club.

We use Laser Pro and they are 'okay'. Just do not try to use their HMDA LAR to transmit....they say nobody uses it so they do not have it perfected..gee we wanted to use it since we bought into them, but can not.

We use EZLender for our first lien mortgage loans and Rembrandt (Bankers Systems) for our 2nds and commercial loans. EZ Lender has a module that also does the 2nds and commercial - we did not make the move there due to cost considerations. We're happy with Ez Lender.

We use Laser Pro for all loan documents and overall it's ok. As with any program, there are adjustments to be made but I've only had experience with Laser Pro so I can't say if anything else is better.

We use Laser Pro and most everyone here agrees it's a very complicated and tedious system to use. Even with loan templates set up, much finagling (sp?) needs to be done to get proper disclosures to kick out. Frankly, I think it's the most difficult to use bank software I've had in nearly 10 years of experience.

We tried Laser Pro and as a Compliance Officer, I found it to be a nightmare. We had loan processors complaining of the complicated system and using whatever loan documents that they wanted. We tried Laser Pro for 4 weeks and switched back to what we had prior to that.

We had EasyLender in a wholesale mortgage operation. It was easy to use and the interface with HMDARelief was great at reporting time. (EasyLender was not made to handle the vast number of wholesale products to multiple correspondents that we had), but if you have a relatively normal operation I would recommend it.

We have used Laser Pro even back in the DOS days- (at least 9-10 years) I have been the System Administrator and a user for over 5 years. We all absolutely love Laser Pro. For a short while we used Bankers Systems ARTA product for some simple consumer loans, but I personally despised that product in comparison. We went back to using LP for non- attorney prepared Consumer, Commercial, and Real Estate loans. If set up properly, the products can save tremendous time in keystrokes for the processors, and products can be tailor pre-set to avoid errors.

Would fight to keep it!

Have experienced lots of problems with EZ Lender for HMDA reporting of home equity loans. They just can't seem to get it to work right, after 2 years. Loans suddenly appear, disappear, things change. Very strange.

KayBee, is there a reason that you guys don't use the FFIEC's software? I just did a new post trying to find out why we don't also (Just acquired, used to use use the FFIEC's before without problems) and why other banks use 3rd party providers for HMDA reporting. Is it that these providers are your platform system/forms vendors who can upload your HMDA data into software so that it does not have to be manually entered?

Yes, the data is uploaded to the HMDA software for consolidation with the other products and ultimate filing with the feds. There is no manual rekeying of data, eliminating keying errors. The loan data in EZ Lender just can't seem to maintain accurate data. EZ Lender has been involved...but it has been dragging on for 2 years much to everyone's frustration.

Also the fancier software provides all sorts of reports (don't know, maybe FFIEC does too?).

We are a Laser Pro User and have used the HMDA reporting in Laser Pro. I manually review the information on the LAR that prints out and haven't had a problem in sending in the info on time. Knock on wood - haven't had HMDA issues either with the quality of info submitted. We do not use the incomplete entry report (not valuable info) and don't submit more than three pages of LAR info so it is manageable.

I use Laser Pro and hate the user interface, but love the documentation. Don't expect to be a hot shot user by going to the Laser pro training sessions. They are a joke. I am looking at leaving the Laser Pro family - is the grass greener? Any way, for HMDA/CRA reporting, get Questsoft HMDA/CRA Relief. well worth the money.

We are considering EZ Lender for our loan document software. Main reason for considering is that we are an ITI core processing system bank and have been told that this software integrates well with ITI for loan uploads, imaging (electronic transfer of documents), has a credit scoring module and will acommodate a loan prep worksheet that can be placed into a queing system that will track the progress of the loan documentation and upload process.

Is anyone using EZ Lender and an ITI bank that could give me more information on the ease of use, etc.?

We currently use ARTA and Rembrandt and our processors hate Rembrandt as it is a bit tempermental at times. ARTA is OK but does not cover some of the dynamics of the loans we do.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

We use Sound. And it is great! HMDA reporting is a breeze.

Our FI uses JHA and I am researching and trying to figure out what software to use for HMDA now that FFIEC DES software is going away....I loved it and am so disappointed that it going to be gone.

We moved from Easy Lender in 2015 due to issues with TRID - they were not ready and their system was antiquated. We moved to Mortgagebot LOS for our mortgage loans. We use Laser Pro for commercial and consumer. We are fairly happy with both and they both have an import/export into HMDA Relief which is what we use to compile the data and submit. We love that too.
