Bryn, had to respond. I used to always say that I got sent to the worst cities for seminars. I was sent to Omaha and ended up really liking it. At the time ACI was located there. Omaha had a great restaurant called the Drover next to the hotel and the zoo was awesome with a rain forest. I'd like to take my family there someday. Yeah the downtown was a little rough but overall I thought it was a pretty cool place. Now I haven't been there for about 8 years, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

The Omaha zoo has expanded even more since you were there. It has a very large aquarium that you can walk through (the sharks are all around you!), an IMAX theater and a Desert Dome has been added. Here's a link to the zoo.

It was actually Ft. Irwin and I had to spend three weeks in the box.

Ugh, how horrible. I feel for you. My total time there was 6 weeks.

what box?

The box is a certain part of the Mojave desert where most of the training takes place. When I was there we helped train the 4th Infantry Division before they went to Iraq. The box is the hottest place I have ever been to. It was over 100 degrees at night.

Oh, and dont forget the dust storms, the scorpions and the snakes....good times right there.

College Station, Texas (and not just because I am a UT grad). I have been to College Station 2 or 3 times and now I understand all those crazy traditions--there is nothing else to do there!
