we are having issues where we print loan doc. and two days later customer shows up to sign - my concern is that customer does not have access to funds til signing - shouldn't loan docs be dated same day as customer signs? can someone point me to where i need to be reading for this answer?

Except in cases where ROR might apply, I don't think it's that important when they sign, versus loan date on papers. What would be important is that the loan not be funded and interest not begin accruing until the customer has the funds. Please note: these thoughts are just off the top of my head....

Loan docs should be dated the same day as the closing (consummation of the loan). I can't point you to a reg. It is a contract. Why would anyone sign a contract that isn't right?
