and bankers galore
struggled to finish
disclosures and more...

The office was quiet
as most were away
so the Compliance Officer actually
got some work done that day!

With deadlines approaching
and decisions to make
the New Year was looming
and her head began to ache

Then over in Audit
There arose such a clatter!
I sprang from my cubicle
To see what was the matter!

Away to BOL I scurried like mice,
And logged in as “anonymous” to get some advice.

There should an examiner
awaiting in the wing
With results of the rating
what news come he bring

With audits to finish
CRA and HMDA to do
Vacation was use or lose
Had he bitten off more than he could chew

'Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house,
Every creature was hurting - even the mouse.
The toys were all broken, their batteries dead.
Santa passed out, with some ice on his head.

Wrapping and ribbons just covered the floor,
While upstairs the family continued to snore.
And I in my T-shirt, new Reeboks and jeans,
Went into the kitchen and started to clean.

When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the sink to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the curtains, and threw up the sash.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a little white truck, with an oversized mirror.
The driver was smiling, so lively and grand;
The patch on his jacket said "US Postman."

With a handful of bills, he grinned like a fox,
Then quickly he stuffed them into our mailbox.
Bill after bill, after bill, they still came.
Whistling and shouting he called them by name.

"Now Dillards, now Broadway's, now Penny's and Sears,
Here's Levit's and Target's and Mervyn's - all here!!
To the tip of your limit, every store, every mall,
Now chargeaway - chargeaway - chargeaway all!"

He whooped and he whistled as he finished his work.
He filled up the box, and then turned with a jerk.
He sprang to his truck and drove down the road,
Driving much faster with just half a load.

Then I heard him exclaim with great holiday cheer,
"ENJOY WHAT YOU GOT...YOU'LL BE PAYING ALL YEAR!"

Said Merry Christmas to all - We'll see you first of the year!

Twas the day before Christmas,

So I got on the phone for help in a hurry
and ousourced my problems to Don and McMurray

Now Christmas is mine without headache or worry
With their analysis in hand I'll pass in a hurry

Twas a week before the new year,
What happened to 2002?
Apparently I am not working,
Can you say the same, too?

The regs they keep changing,
and more are on the way;
Will it be HMDA or Reg. Z?
Let us hope HOEPA will stay!

Okay, it's slow...it's slow! I'm tired of working on a safe-deposit box policy/procedures.....what's a guy to do!?!

and only 6 Registered;

by me, the chocolates are absquatulated

With all anticipation before the big snow storm

Boxes piled high from audits this year
How fun those all were and brought so much cheer,
Compliance deadlines marked on the calendar in red
Wondering just what will they do to RESPA?...we dread!

Thanks, Kara - as the thief said as he carried his booty off; "absquatulater!" If he were caught, would he have absquatter's rights to his treasure?
