Can someone share how they treat credit cards with respect to loan review? Do you review them? To what extent?

Consumer credit cards are typically reviewed on a portfolio basis. Are they being charge off within set time frames, aging correctly, reserving appropriately.

This FFIEC guidance may shed some light. Also, try OCC Bulletin 2000-20.

These should provide some guidance depending on the size of your portfolio.

We treat them as individual open ended loans and review them for compliance with all applicable regs just as we do any other consumer or commercial credit.
