Rearrange the tracks on Lateralus. Start with 6 and 7, then "spiral out." 5,8,4,9,etc. The way it was supposed to be heard.

I am going to bring my stereo.

In response to the Anon about the Lateralus tracks: I have heard this also, but Tool nor anyone close to tool have ever said this. I think it is more myth than reality.

Even if no one said it, it is true. It fits too perfectly to be a coincidence. Take the gaps out and rearrange them. It all fits. I can't even listen to it the "regular" way anymore.

See when I tried to play it that way, I got two abrupt stops, I did not think it was very smooth. But, to each his own, great CD though.

I just heard the song in its entirety. It is o.k. It always takes me a while to like new stuff. Maynard's voice seemed kind of weird on this. It picked up toward the end.

That is what I noticed too, it had a really wierd sound to it. I am usually the same way, at first I don't like it then I end up loving it. I even thought AEnima was lame when I first heard it. Now I think it is the best CD I have ever heard.

2.) Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss
3.) Incubus - Science
4.) Clutch - Self Titled
5.) Deftones - Adrenaline
6.) Snot - Self Titled
7.) Metallica - And Justice for All
8.) Rage Against the Machine - Self Titled
9.) Ministry - Psalm 69
10.) Pantera - Far Beyond Driven

3- clutch: clutch
4- machine head: burn my eyes - this was an awesome CD but I liked the more things change the more they stay the same better. Why has MH gone so far down hill?
5- slayer: seasons in the abyss
6- corrosion of conformity: deliverance
7- down: nola - I had this stolen
8- metallica: master of puppets
9- blind guardian: imaginations from the other side
10- megadeth: rust in peace - I almost put that one in the top ten also.

I heard the new song yesterday...and just let me ask where my boy Shemp is???...that was awesome. I thought it was exactly how they said it was going to be. It was a perfect mix of Aenima and Lateralus. I thought it was great. I rocked hard but still had it's mathmatical feel. I can't wait to hear the rest.

Shemp here.

I have been here all along Spiv. I thought it was awesome also. It is rare that I love their first single, but this was amazing. Those guys are definately pros at making music.

I am the same way, and I really liked this new song right off the bat. He sounded a bit different but it sounded great! I can't wait for the album to come out . . . They just added a bunch of U.S. tour dates if anyone is interested. There's one Texas stop, which is in Dallas.

I was once watching an interview with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant where they claimed that Tool was one of the greatest bands ever. One of them (cannot remember who) said, how do 4 guys of that talent level all end up in the same band. Each one of those guys is better at song writing than most successful bands.

I cannot devulge my sources.

Personally I thought Vicarious was the best song, by far. But there are other very good songs on the album. There is some wierd singing in the album (does not even sound like Maynard). But lots of songs that lull you into that Tool trance then rock you out at the end. Its awesome.

Man, I am ticked (being nice) off. Tickets went on sale at 10am today (Sat). I was on there at exactly 10 to get two tickets and couldn't get anything. They sold out like in a minute or two. Buncha &!@^%$&@T$

Guess I'll have to pay mark-up now. . E-bay or Craigslist. Bah!
