If an ad will lists bonus rates of **, **, or ** basis points that the customer may obtain for renewing a CD does that trigger APYs to be listed. Under section 230.8(d)(1) it states that the APY must be listed for bonuses. I don't think we have to do this since we are not listing the rate of return in any form, simply the bonus rates. Does anyone have any idea if we are on the right track? Thanks!

Bonus rates are not bonuses under the definition in Regulation DD. Using that term and referring to the rate differentials don't trigger other verbiage requirements in an ad, under 230.8.
