Our loan officers are in the habit of overusing the "other" reason. They type in reasons that are already listed on the form or they give reasons such as "charge off account or excessive past due credit" and then check the box "collection action or judgement". Am I being unreasonable to ask them to not check the "other" box unless they have a reason that is not listed? What are some of the consequences of overusing the "other" reason?
