Call me "Time-warp." Does anyone know what became of, or what absorbed, Micro-computer policies, or End-user computer policies? Does it still matter? Where do they stick acceptable use policies now? Thanks.

When I took over Information Systems here, one of the first things I did was completely overhaul our existing Information Security Policy (which was sorely lacking). Our "Micro-Computer Policy" was part of that policy. Since no one I know even uses that term anymore (it seems very antiquated), I first renamed it to describe really what the policy covered - it is now our "Computer, Internet and E-Mail Policy". Part of that policy includes an attachment that is the "Technology and Internet Acceptable Use Policy" that all employees must sign.

So I guess the short answer to your question is that those policies are covered in the Information Security Policy, at least in our Bank.
