On the whole though, if he/she has to do one or the other, I'd rather they go for the intern.
So you want the intern to "take one for the team"?
ROFLMAO!!!OMG!! thanx rainman that was hilarious!
LOL - and here I thought for sure someone would go for the "on the whole" section of the comment.

That is the disgusting thing about politics. It's always the same - regardless of who is in office. Everyone always want's to place whatever blame they can to make their own positions seem more believeable. Democratic, Republican - it's all the same. No one can ever remember what they believed (or said) last week if it happens to be convenient.
One of the reasons I liked GWB so much was that, although he didn't always say the right thing, he had a passion about whatever he was speaking about. Like he actually believed the words that he was speaking. Unfortunately, that seems to have really waned in the past several months.
I have so much more respect for ANYONE be it a neighbor or a president that can say "Hey - I was wrong" instead of just pointing the finger at everyone else hoping the spotlight will shift.

It seems to me that none of you remember the Black Hawk Down incident in Mogadishu. We lost toops over there. Raiding Mogadishu was a decision that Clinton made that was based on faulty intelligence.
the disaster in the mo' may have been clinton's fault but not because of what you cited. he made the political decision to not provide the rangers with enough force to keep up the appearance of a peace-keeping mission.

Bim, I think the implication is that that was the "worst" that Clinton did while in office, obviously, he made a bad decision, but no one died because of it.
No one died because of the Clinton's?
You don't know your Clinton's too well.

I don't understand how anyone could describe this thread as light-hearted. It begins with the premise that thousands of American troops are dead because the President intentionally lied, apparently to settle a score or enrich his buddies, if I understand the mantra correctly. What is funny about that?

J, accusing GWB of lying is a lie. So the democrats should know that GWB went on false information, and they are lying about it.

i'm not sure if he lied knowingly but he was reckless asserting as truth that which he did not definitively know.

Hey Sourpea, please provide some evidence that Bush knowingly lied.
BTW, I definitely think you should change your name to SourPea, it's much more fitting.

How did he lie? We have discussed this in many threads in which no one has yet been able to assert that he lied. Did the French lie when they told us they sold parts for WMD's to Iraq.
SP, leave this one to the adults.
