Only 3 hours and 45 minutes left! It can't possibly come soon enough!

Is anyone doing anything exciting for the weekend? I'm planning on taking it easy and spending some quality time at the beach with a good book and a coctail! Can't wait!

i'm working

Ditto

Yeah - I always work all day on Sunday. But Saturday is my day to play! Do you have a second job?

No, the guy who usually covers Saturdays is on vacation so I got picked to cover for him. Fun stuff.

FL Girl, I'm only about an hour south of you.
Siesta Key is beautiful. Some interesting characters there to say the least, lol.

Too cool! Is this an I need to get out of work day, or what?!

There seems to be a lot of "interesting" people in this state! Were you born here, or a transplant?

I think you were asking Mark but, I am a transplant. You?

Transplant also - from Michigan.

Where are you from?

I am a transplant, moved to Naples 8 years ago.
Love it. Living 1.2 miles from the beach and have a hard time thinking of ever moving, lol.

I have been here for about 8 months. I am also about 5 miles from the beach. Oh and we can drive on our beach!

That would be cool - I tried that one time in Michigan. Really not a good idea!! Of course, it was the middle of the night - out in BFE, on Lake Michigan. So I sat there for a while just watching the waves (beautiful night). Went to leave a few hours later and was so stuck in the sand, I had to walk about 10 miles to the nearest phone and call to be towed at 4:00 in the morning. At least they stopped and picked my up and I didn't have to walk back!

Yeah, it's a great place to be. But everyone from up north, it is terribly hot and no fun, lol.

Bimmer what model do you drive?

FG, I think the sunsets over the Gulf are probably the best reasons for living here.

Oh sure talk all you want about sunsets, beaches, nice weather.

But you just can’t beat those WI sub zero January days, a salt covered car, the snot in your nose freezing instantly when you walk outside.

Ah, talk about living.

Yeah - I had plenty of those years - I was across Lake Michigan from you cheese heads in Traverse City. Not missing the freezing boogers, slush, fallng on your butt when you're just rying to walk - sliding into people when your just trying to drive - bundling up in everything you own and still being cold when you get outside - and oh yes, shoveling not missing that either.

I DO miss the smell of Fall and Spring. I think I can deal though!

I would have guessed it would be the hurricanes! Were any of you guys been personally affected by the hurricanes last year?

You too!

Yes, I was affected by the Hurricane Wilma. Lost my lanai and a 35 ft. Royal Palm.

Hoping to have the lanai fixed by the end of May.

Going to visit our son and daughter-in-law in St Louis - we were invited for the first time in nearly 10 months They bought their first house and we are going down to see it before they close on it, and just spend some quality time with them. Don't get much of that so I am looking forward to the weekend. 1 1/2 hours to go!!!
