All the exam procedures and various regulatory issuances I've read regarding imaging put a lot of emphasis on the quality of the indexing process when scanning and creating the images. We are planning to have the user who is submitting the document complete a header sheet which will contain the information that will be used for the indexing. We felt this made more sense than the imaging specialist trying to decide what a document was and where it should go in the system.
I'm wondering if anyone who is currently imaging has any type of ongoing quality control for this process other than an occasional audit. In other words, are the regulators expecting that someone would be checking the indexing information that the document "owner" completed before it is put into the image system?
