Bimmer, I don't know what the big fuss was about either. Are we supposed to run every news article we get or read through Snopes? This is the internet folks!

What do you want to bet that if someone spread a false story that made a conservative look bad, Bimmer would be the first to condemn it, even if it contained a statement that "I don't know how much truth there is to this story" (especially when it later says "This is a true story")

Okay this is just ridiculous to me to insult Bimmer for putting up a story that was meant to entertain us... He said that he didnt know if it was true or not, so he made it clear that it was just for a fun read, no more... And I for one had never even heard of Snopes before this post, so if it had been me I would not have even known to check there to find out it was not true. And honestly I dont care if its true or not, it was entertaining to me when I read it and that was his point to posting it...

Oh, and another thing... he was compared to a journalist, saying that he needed to do his research before posting, but let me explain the difference here... Bimmer is NOT getting paid for this, he was doing this for OUR entertainment alone. I'd hate to break it to you but journalists DO get paid to do their research.

Bimmer. Thanks for sharing a great story.  I had heard that story before and honestly believed it to be true myself. Including the story about the guy spitting in her face and Fonda handing over the SS#'s. I'd have never guessed these to be part of an urban legend. However. IMO, Jane Fonda is still a rat.

Evidently, it is a generational thing because I don't think you really understand what Magic Banker is saying. Either way, it's Bimmer's right to post and it's also Magic Banker's right to post his disagreement.
If you don't like Jane Fonda and/or Ted Turner, I'm sure you can find plenty of true things to be appalled by. If you can't then you have to decide if you dislike them based on urban legends and if that is really fair.

I didnt find this entertaining because it made me dislike Jane Fonda or Ted Turner, I for one could not possibly care less about these people I will never meet. I just thought it was an entertaining story and nothing more. If you want info on politics go to a news website, not the BOL watercooler... And anyway, regardless of where you hear it, celebrity gossip is quite often wrong, even when done by "real" journalists. I think its foolish to even worry about celebrities and their lives outside of their work. I enjoy watching their movies or whatever it is they might do, but when it comes to their personal life that is their own business and I dont think millions of people need to be watching their every move.
