I know Steve. And except that he looks taller in jeans, this does look just like him.

Humm last week was our board of directors dinner. I got hugs and the male compliance officer....well heck he got nothing so what do I care

Since the board treats me with great respect at all times, a fond hug at a promotion dinner is entirely acceptable to me. Heck if we get Mike (the male) snoockered enough, I bet he'd hug a director too!

Being 5' tall and looking 10 to 15 years younger than my age, I've gotten the same treatment alot of women mentioned here. But as the exguvBabe mentioned...I tend to put folks in their place quickly and the sillyness goes away quickly. When I was a commercial lender in a sea of 50 year old men I appreciated the fact that I stood out like a sore thumb. I normally got the bid first and fortunately worked for a bank that provided me with such competitive offers I almost always won. My male collegues used to complain they couldn't even get in the door with some of these clients. So...girl power It works! LOL

Autumn, I have to agree with you! Older, mature men are not all that bad.

Now I didn't say they weren't lovely 50 year old men! They just weren't 25 year old looking red head women

I'm pushing 40 very hard so I can't make much fun of 50..it's too close on the horizon!

On the other hand, we have never had any such dinner. No kiss, doesn't bother me, no hug, I can live without that, no free meal, what a rip off.

We're having a dinner in a few weeks for employees who are receiving service awards. The entire bank is invited. This will be my first year since I've only been here 9 months.

I'm beyond 40 and it's wonderful. My son is almost grown and I'm ready to start life over again, but have more fun this time.

Make sure he knows that he's just limited to that one compliance officer if he ever attends a compliance seminar!

Actually, he's a shy computer geek. I had to hunt
him down. I don't think he'd have the nerve...
But that's a good thing!

Promotion dinners?!! Service awards?!! In the 20+ yrs I’ve been here, there has never been a promotion dinner at any time – for anybody. Lucky you.

As far as drinks go – we do have a complete wet bar in the bank. One of our “good ol’boys” keeps it well stocked.

Wrong gender. Mordac is just the nickname I got last year when I implemented passwords with a combination of alpha/numeric characters. Evidently he's the evil tech in Dilbert cartoons.

Awww Mordac I think the girls can be one of the good ole boys! One of my favorite evenings is when the good ole boys join me for cigars and martinis over at the "club" next door. (Petroleum clubs still let you smoke cigars in the main room).

That's where the good ol'boys rub the girls down with vicks and then they wrestle... no wait, that's the new beer commercial.
