That sounds wonderful.

Oddly enough, Homemade brand isn't very good.

This made me think of how much fun we had as kids after Mom would make homemade cottage cheese and the cramping would pass.

Does anyone remember cranking the old fashioned ice cream makers before they were electric? My sisters and I would fight over who got to crank first, then we would take turns until it was done. We couldn't hardly wait for it to get done.

I remember my grandpa making it that way. It was usually vanilla with fresh fruit in it. Usually strawberries. MMMMMM

yes, the buckets were wooden and we would take turns over who sat on it as someone else would turn it.

OMG, I forgot about sitting on it. We would get a rug, or a big towel, and put it over the top and one would sit on it while the other just cranked away! Then switch!
