Is it illegal for a TX dealer to allow a straw purchase?

Thanks, but that deals with firearms. I was referring to car dealers.

You might want to read this: http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/nv/home/pressrelease/march2005/naz031505.htm

Can you say fraud, money laundering, etc.

Thanks. I got wind from some websites that Texas might have a state law specifically. I have already contacted the dealers in question, just was wondering what else I might have here.

There are a whole bunch of reasons that it could be illegal. (I don't think you will find a specific statute )that I am aware of anyway). Any time you have a situation that involves loans obtained through straw borrowers it basically constitutes fraud.
