OK, so I’m up, have nothing better to do and I’m listening to the voices in my head. Anyone for a little trivial pursuit????

Name that Canine!!!

Billy Joel was the voice of this stray…
Does battle against the red baron…
Elroy Jetson’s mutt…
Shaggy’s hound…
Bulldog on Johnny Quest…
Caped Crusader, one and only love of Polly Purebred…
Sherman and this dog used to take trips in the “wayback machine”…
This dog belongs to Dennis the Menace…
Mickey Mouse’s Best Friend…
This Cowboy dog was fond of tart purple berries…

Wow, I spent waaaaay to much time watching cartoons when I was little. Anyone remember “Dialing for Dollars”? “Dark Shadows”?

Surely there are lots more famous cartoon dogs out there -

Where the heart is
1. Don't know
2. Snoopy
3. Astro
4. Scooby Do!
5. Bandit
6. Underdog
7. Mr. Peabody
8. Don't know
9. Pluto
10. Huckleberry Hound

Yep - I rotted a few brain cells on Saturday morning as well. You forgot RUFF N READY! Not to mention Santa's Little Helper, Dogbert or "Yo quiro Taco Bell". Then again, remember Queequeg? (Okay - so the last two TECHNICALLY weren't cartoons...but I had to make up for the two I couldn't remember.)

Dialing for Dollars never called me.

You know that SciFi Channel replays Dark Shadows every morning? Right now Reverend Trask is terrorising the 1840's incarnation of Maggie/Josette/and whatever other characters played by Kathryn Leigh Scott. Quentin has just been cursed to be a werewolf. If you can't watch it on T.V., you can follow along at Dark Shadows website

Lately though... I've only had eyes for the Knight!

Wasn't Queequeg (spelling?) the Pomeranian in the X-Files? We won't even discuss what happened to him.

Of course I remember 'Dark Shadows'.

You know, I was up last night from about
2:30 to 5:00 am, thinking about my job and
stuff that needs tending to... I should have
gotten up and went online. Now I'm just tired...

Technically the first dog was a Disney movie in which Joel also sang the theme song. "Why should I worry..."

I'm hooked on Stargate SG1. Didn't know they were playing re-runs of Dark Shadows. Used to scare the he$$ out me - couldn't take my eyes off of it. Kindof like compliance.

Is it Dodger from Oliver and company? I have kids but we haven't watched that one in a while.

It is indeed Dodger. My favorite in that movie, though, was Cheech Marin doing the voice of the Chihuahua.

I hate to admit I remember Dialing for Dollars, they never called me either, and Dark Shadows, oneof my favorites,
But what about the GONG SHOW!!!! I was actually watching it last night
That is back on the cable channels, gaining popularity with the new movie out now about Chuck Barris. Go figure.

Dennis the Menace's dog - Ruff?

Don't recall Dark Shadows, but the Boomerang Network brings back nostalgic memories!

As for Mr. Peabody and Sherman, Sherman was the human-son of the dog Mr. Peabody. As a kid, that seriously hindered my sex education.

I know Tramp wooed Lady. Also, Pongo & Perdita were the parents of the 101 Dalmations (although not all of them were actually theirs).

I know the Scotty - Jock. I love Scotties - my wife and kids and I have 3 Scotties. My mother-in-law and father-in-law used to have 3 Scotties, now they're down to two. My sister-in-law also has a Scottie. Scotties are great - just ask George W. Bush! (By the way, did anyone see the Barney Cam video at http://www.whitehouse.gov/holiday/? - It was very cute!).
