In the state of Florida, are the designations ITF & POD interchangeable? May multiple beneficiaries be named for accounts using either?

Under current Florida law, 655.82, the two methods of account titling are interchangeable. As a matter of personal preference, I would suggest that "POD" is more consistently understood by most consumers. Regardless of the method chosen, it is permissible to have multiple beneficiaries.

If you remember it to be otherwise, you are correct. At one time, Florida law, purposefully or not, made distinctions between the account types.
