When a CTR is needed on a DBA account and the person conducting the transaction is also the owner of the DBA, how does your bank complete Sections A and B on the CTR? Several options could be... *List the DBA in Section A as a business, (no DOB or ID) and list the owner in Section B. *List the Owner and DBA information in Section A, being sure to list the DOB and ID of the owner, leaving Section B blank, marking "Conducted on Own Behalf".

section a box 2 & 3- customer's name
box 5- business name
box 8- customers dob

dba's are basically personal accounts run under a business name, so all the info you fill out on the ctr will be your customer's info, plus the name of their dba. section b would mark conducted on own behalf.

I agree with dip- as long as this is a "sole proprietorship" account.

Right. Corporations can also operate using dba's.
