For me it's got something to do with a cappella - the Manhattan Transfer's version of "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square"; and James Taylor's "That Lonesome Road" both work well.

Sting's acoustic "Message in a Bottle" is good, too.

I'll admit it, the second movement from Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 can bring me to tears. Especially towards the end when it's coming down from the climax and the flutes carry the melody back to the piano. Pure magic. It's simply the most beautiful music I've ever encountered, and believe me, I've encountered a lot of music.
