I kind of felt bad for Virgina a few episodes ago...when Sara screwed her over. But not anymore. I think Virginia is a manipulator, plain and simple.

Go Heather!!

Okay...I missed lastnight...from what I am reading it sounds like K-Grease went home!

And the final 2 is between Heather and Virginia. Is that right? Please tell me I'm wrong.

That is correct.

As far as Heather not doing well on the hot plate, remember, the ONLY one who had a clue of what to do other than watching Gordon do it while running their section was Virginia. Give Heather 10 minutes and tell her what to look for on the hot plate and she will be good to go.

While Virginia had one-on-one time with Chef, Kevin and Heather were watching intently while they were polishing the glassware. Maybe they should have been paying more attention to Chef Ramsey's instructions instead of being jealous and making fun of Virginia. They knew they what they had to do. They should have paid attention.

That is a great point. Clearly Virginia had the advantage of the one on one, but Heather and Keith were very cocky... and after all that time of hearing Chef bark at you, wouldn't you pick up some of that??

Oh well-we shall see next monday.

I think I would have a serious attitude problem too if someone were yelling and cussing at my like he did. This show has way too many bleeps! LOL Maybe they should have titled it "fill in the blank"!

It will be interesting to see his take on the events of last night. Virginia definitely did learn how to handle the hot plate. It was her reward, but in full sight and hearing of the other two. It was a learning opportunity for all of them, and Keith and Heather squandered it. I think if you put Virginia in a kitchen with him for a year, and get rid of her silliness, she will turn into an excellent head chef. She seems to have a natural instinct for food. From the editing, Heather 'looks like' the best. She can hustle in the kitchen, but seems to be nasty one minute, then crying into the camera the next. Don't these people ever think of what they are going to look like when it is played back on TV?

Based on last night, Heather deserved to win. A couple of observations:
1) Virginia isn't exactly motivating to her staff "i picked you because you are the weakest" yea tiger-go get em...
2) Keith is a fool...looks like a fool and acts like a fool...I wouldn't hire him to make me cereal in the morning; Asking her for money??? Hey fool-pull your pants up and get the heck out of here...
3) Tom is a baby...the way he initially acted, you'd think he sliced his thumb off...

Even though Heather didn't win challenges, she was the most consistent throughout. Virginia excelled in some areas, but fell short in others.

Both came up with nice designs for their restaurants.

My biggest observation from last night....

Gordon Ramsey isn't as big an @$$ as he appears to be in the kitchen. He's also a lot nicer to the girls than the guys. Oh, and why was he constantly ordering Virginia's kitchen around?

I think Tom was a big baby because he wanted to hurt Virginia. I think Tom was the same way. He didn't want to work for Virginia.

I picked Heather in week #1 after she burned her hand and still continued to lead her team. She may not be as good a cook as Virginia, but she can run a restaurant.

Has anyone been to the Red Rock Resort in LV? Just wondering how's she doing. The next time my wife and I are in LV, we want to visit her restaurant.

Any news on last year's winner? He passed on the restaurant to go to work for Chef Ramsey in London. I wonder how that went. Chef Ramsey didn't make the same offer to Heather.

Stephen, I wouldn't say Heather isn't as good a COOK as Virginia. I would say that she doesn't have the palate or quality control. She can cook much better than Virginia. She can control a kitchen better.

I think Virginia can cook (she was able to duplciate the Chefs signature dish by taste), but I think in the line, she didn't perform well.

I was very happy to see Heather win! I think she was the best person.

The hotel where they were doing the taste testing with consumers was the Green Valley Ranch which is a sister resort to the Red Rock. I was at GVR in April which may have been about the time they were doing it. It would have been cool to have been one of the people who sampled their entrees! And, I would have known who the two finalists were!

Look at the background on both of them. Virginia was a salad chef; Heather a line chef. Heather had more kitchen experience and it paid off for her. She knew what had to be done and how to do it. She worked and made everyone around her work. Virginia (aside from seeming very immature with her silly comments) didn't have the proper experience. However, she does have a natural ability, that given time and the proper training, she will most likely become an excellent head chef. If Ramsey would take her into one of his kitchens and teach her the tricks of the trade, she would most likely become a star.

I was attempting to differentiate Heather and Virginia's skills. I think Virginia's ability to stand at a stove and cook a dish shows she is superior to Heather. If you were having a dinner party, I'd want Virginia to be there doing the cooking. Look at how many of the tasks that Virginia won. Heather's skill was in kitchen/people management. That's what won her the contest.

While I wanted Heather to win, I do wonder if perhaps coming in second place will really be the better deal. Heather's prize is her own restaurant which she has no experience with running. So, perhaps now that Virigina didn't win, Chef Rasmey has the option of pulling her under his wing and mentoring her so that when/if she gets her own restaurant, she will have had some training in how to do it. It could be that Virginia will actually be the person who "wins" in all this.

Could be a case of be-careful-what-you-wish-for . . .

Or, if not Chef Ramsey, maybe some other head chef who sees her talent. It has worked for several of former Apprentice candidates that did not win.

I picked Heather at the start, too, but thought Virginia was a better chef. She really did blow it by saying why she picked the people she did - and Keith was a real a$$ by asking for money. That was ridiculous and it's too bad she fell for it. It was interesting that Chef Ramsey took her under his wing a few times and it appeared that she was his favorite (which she may have been). But in the end, Heather really did do a better job overall.

I couldn't believe when Keith asked for money. I've never seen anyone do that on a reality show - I thought it was against the rules! I guess it just depends upon which show you're on. Virginia will be fine, I don't think she was too jazzed to move to LV anyway. Her comment about picking weak players cracked me up. Way to motivate!

They both seemed really, really young to be a head chef but of the two, I think Heather is a better leader.

My husand and I live in the Vegas area and we've thought about going to Heather's restaurant in the Red Rock Casino. Has anyone been there yet? If so, how was it?
