dreaming of a warm beach......
How about the kid with the brain tumor/cancer and wants to get all the business cards. I am still amazed when someone passes that one around and plans on sending out a bunch of business cards.

The biggest one is that Elvis is dead. I know for a fact that he is alive. I saw him a couple of weeks ago at a local bar. He's lost some weight but those sideburns...it had to be Elvis!!

I like the UL about the people that leave their high lights on while driving at night and when a passing car flashes them they do a u-turn and chase the car down and kill the occupants. It's suppose to be gang related.

...but I'm not a member of a gang.

Oooooo Beagle Queen reminded me of a couple more UL's:

There's the one where someone reached into the coin return of a pay phone (are there pay phones even around anymore???) and got stuck by a needle and later turned up with HIV.

Also, the poor kid who sat down in a movie theatre seat and got stuck in the bum with a needle and later turned up with HIV.

Jen, I remember that one, or one similar! The way I heard it, it's supposedly a gang initiation rite: new gang members drive around with their headlights turned off after dark and wait for someone to do the "courtesy" thing and flash their own headlights at the headlight-less car to alert them to the fact that their headlights are not on. Then, they go back and kill the courtesy-headlight-flasher. Yikes! I actually remember when I was in high school (eons and ages ago), my brother told me never to do the courtesy flash-my-headlights thing... EVER! lol

I used to do the courtesy "flash your lights" thing. The last time I did it, the other car turned out to be a police car and he pulled me over and gave me a ticket because one of my highbeams was out.

OMG! I think I know someone that happened too, X!! **LOL**

I like the one where the killer is in the back seat of the car and sneaks up on the poor unsuspecting female as she drives down the highway. Wouldn't it hurt the killer when the car crashes after he kills her?

This won't start out as, "This kind of thing never happens to me, but this really did...", will it?

Preserve, Ms. Biscuit.

I tried to post the following response but it dissappeared.
QS- No, this kind of UL has NEVER happended to me. I like my dog but not that much!!
MB- Yeah, little Miss Innocent - yours truly, BJ.

Well, what type of UL HAS happened to you?

Ms. Buscuit, cover your ears, please.

My ears will be the ONLY thing that's covered.

Okay, that deserves a thread of it's own. And watch the crumbs.

Will we ever find out, or is this one of the empty-ended legends. That doesn't even sound good.
