I am reviewing the salaries of my BSA staff and would like to see if anyone would be willing to share the titles and salary ranges of their staff if they are comparable with our bank or close in size.

Community Bank
3 BSA staff including the BSA Officer
1 Billion in Assets
Prepare approximately 2000 CTRs monthly
Prepare approximately 50 SARs monthly
Rated as High Risk by OCC due to foreign customer base, foreign wires, foreign LCs.
We bank MSBs, C-stores, jewelry stores and restaurants.

If anyone is willing to share the salaries and what the job titles are I would appreciate an email. I feel that with the responsibilities our staff has they should have a higher salary but due to the limited number of "specialists" titles for BSA , it is hard to find comparable data to take to HR as a comparison.

Any help is appreciated.

I, too, would be interested. I am a "one person" shop and I am hoping to get some help.

We are:

1 BSA Officer
3 bank holding company
1.9 billion assets
30 branches with 3 in the works
Moderate risk
some foreign customers
moderate CTR and SAR volume

I also have had trouble finding comparable data for BSA Officers and staff. Please PM me if you can share information.

I, too, would be interested. I work at a small bank in South Florida and have one BSA person working for me. I am to the point that I need to hire one more person but I would like to know what the salary ranges are for BSA Staff.

In larger metro markets, these are an example of the going rates - you would need to adjust this based on your individual markets. A broad request for information is really pretty meaningless, as this will be based on your individual job markets.

Compliance Officer $75,000 to $80,000 Officer
Compliance Associate $40,000 to $45,000 Asst Officer
OFAC Compliance Officer $150,000 to $185,000 Vice President
Bank Operations Compliance Officer $100,000 to $150,000 Vice President
Head of AML and BSA Surveillance $100,000 to $150,000 Vice President

Any ranges available for smaller rural markets? Or where can I go to find out?

Check with your local banking association as some of them collect this information for distribution.

I am amused at the 792 views of this topic in the first 48 minutes of posting compared to the 40 - 50 views of other topics with the same time frame!! Did we not all find we are all horribly underpaid and overworked?? What's new?! It's fun to dream that we're worth $150,000. Randy, you opened Pandora's box!!

ahh. I didn't know that was possible. I thought it sure was an awful lot of views in 48 minutes.
