Bimmer, maybe I missed it if you discussed this previously, but what do you do there?

I am a network engineer for the Firing Rooms. When preparing for a launch they strain the network to it's absolute capacity by running tests to make sure that nothing happens during the launch. I have to be there in case something breaks.

Which one? The network engineer job, or the mortgage job???

You can have the mortgage job. It's really getting on my nerves right now!

Sorry, you can't have that one. I like it too much. Except when I have to work all night on a Friday

I had a job like that in high school once. It usually was something in the bathrooms that broke.

That job sucked!

Why not???

Just kidding. I am a computer geek at heart, plus I really enjoy being able to work around the Space Shuttle. But when I moved down here a year ago, I opened a mortgage company with two other people. So I am just working on getting the company to grow so I don't have to be here every day, and I can just get a pay check from it.

It's just funny. You and I are a lot alike...bankers by day, science geeks by night. I don't find many that fit the description.

I'm a computer geek who works IN a bank!

Sounds like a cool job (the NASA-related one, not so much the mortgage-related one, IMHO).
