I saw $2.22 in Macon, GA yesterday, although it's still $2.39 where I live 13 miles east of there. Go figure!

The 7-11 at 36th and Rockwell and the Albertsons at 23rd Rockwell are by far the cheapest gas on the Northside of town.

Since GWB was blamed for the rising prices he should now be applauded for the dropping prices.

You'd think so! I read a letter to the editor in our local paper that stated that the Bush administration is behind this, and was BLAMING them for it. They stated that because gas prices are down, they are OBVIOUSLY going to the gas companies in an election year to lower the prices. Give me a break! Blame him if they go up, Blame him if they go down. Will these people ever be satisfied?

Oh yeah, $2.199 here.

I hope for all our sakes that your under a buck wish comes true Ms. Biscuit. I was worrying about heating the house this winter. It's a relief to see gas prices coming down because it corresponds to my heating oil prices.

I kept the house at about 65 last year because of the heating prices. It would be nice to be about to bump it up to 68.

Kiplinger Letter of 8/25 says heating oil will go up this winter from $2.80 to $3.10 by year end. They also said natural gas will be much costlier by year end as well, increasing to $10 to $12 per million BTUs, from $7 per million BTU now. Hope they are wrong!
