How about those NPR announcers that say "Yestiday" instead of "Yesterday". Arg-h-h-h-h!

# of searches on BOL in February using the search term "hopea" -- presumably when the searchers were looking for "HOEPA" -- 97

# of searches on BOL in February using the search term "soldiers & sailors civil relief ace" -- 107

# of searches on BOL in February using the search term "comemrcial escrow" -- 182

When using a search engine, good spelling counts, and typos can be fatal.

Two of the most common banking typos that are seen over and over are "commerical" for commercial and "accural" for accrual. And both drive me nuts. Must have something with how the keys are on the keyboard. Here is the Philadelphia area we too go "down the shore". What I hate is when folks around here go to the "Golf" station for gas. Is it the Golf Of Mexico?

You guys have checked off many pet peeves from my list. How about "I'm going to try AND [do something]" instead of "I'm going to try TO [do something]."

My pet peeve- calling a business and being told by the receptionist to "hode on". (Hold on) Wouldn't "Can you please hold?" be better?

When I place a call and ask to speak to a specific person and receive the "May I say who's calling" I respond with "Yes"

My pet peeve...come vs. came - "He come over to my house". It's CAME, people! He CAME over to my house! Thank you for letting me get that out.

Only one: "tuna fish." That would be opposed to what, tuna dog?

How about Valentimes Day instead of Valentine's?
Or is that only in NJ?

I tell 'em "I may be from the mid-west but I do know that tuna is a fish."

And this is totally off subject, but last week I was having dinner at a restaurant and I asked the waiter for some Heinz® 57. He asked "the steak sauce?"

DUHHHH!

Oh, if you're going to talk funny town names, you can't hold a candle to Texas. Do you want to go to Happy? Gun Barrel City? Prosper? Paradise?

Welcome to Texas, where it's all good 'bidness'. (And never ask a rancher how many head of cattle he has.)

My parents traveled through Intercourse, PA while on their way home from the New Jersey. They got such a kick out of it!
