When third parties (credit card companies, other lenders, even collection agencies) call to verify employment status of employees, how much information can you give them? Do you require written authorization first? Thanks!
Our practice is to require written authorization of our employee prior to releasing information. We then will only verify what information the employee has provided to the potential creditor.
