Actually, it was originally written (by someone from your neck of the woods) to satirize other forms of bigotry. I thought it was appropriate here, given earlier posts on "ugly" and "fat" people.

I've always admired this song. I think this is one of the most powerful songs about racism (and bigotry in general) ever written. Randy Newman is a songwriting genius. The problem is that many people don't realize what this song is really about.

Thanks MB. Not really a stern Liberal, more like an unabashed Libertarian. And Libertarian is as opposite from the Authoritarians in this administration as true Liberals are from true Conservatives. I prefer to think of it as cynical rather than bitter
