I'm reviewing some flood files and have noticed a form called "Federal Emergency Management Agency Certification of Proof of Purchase of flood insurance".

If this is filled out correctly and provided to us prior to closing, can we accept this as proof that the borrower has obtain flood insurance.

It looks like a form that FEMA gives to insurnace agents so they can give banks something showing that flood insurance is in place without creating the actual policy.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Thanks!
