If this is going to be Ted Kennedy bashing perhaps someone should start another thread. I'm sure that wasn't what PQ was looking for.

PQ wanted to know what each party stands for. This is a perfect example of what the Democrats stand for.

There was no ulterior motive, Ronster, I was just curious as to whether he knew.

I agree, PQ-not everyone here is enamored with him. MB Guy does pose a good question-why is this guy held up on such a pedestal? I think it is simply the name, and the fact he has brought in so much federal $ to the state (Big Dig, anyone)???
With his fortune (which isn't what it once was) and his last name, the seat is his until he decides he is finished, regardless of his history. Just one of those things....

PQ, I really was just curious if he was that loved in MA since he has been re-elected so many times. Thanks.
Now, back to topic. I think the original poster should research each party exhaustively (including Libertarian) and determine which of them lines up best with their views and beliefs and go from there.

Oh good god folks, I should have known better to post an innocent question even remotely related to politics.... . Now that being said, not all of us from Mass are TK fans, some think that he has way overstayed his welcome....
I still ask if you haven't learned everything you need to know about politics and the politcal parties right here. I think this discussion is aan excellent example of the current level of political discourse.

Maybe check out this site below. I just searched for non-partisan political party research and I don't know what is behind it, but it looked like it had a lot of links for research. Best of luck. http://www.politics1.com/parties.htm
