How are other Illinois Banks handling UTMA accounts once the beneficiary reaches legal age?

Honestly, we kind of end up leaving them out there until the customer initiates the change in titling.

Just to tag onto this topic, do you require the custodian to terminate the custodianship, or just release the funds to the beneficiary once they reach the legal age (21)?

We leave the account until the custodian initiates the change. Also, set the account to discontine waiving the monthly maintenance fee at age 19. We require the custodian to come in to release the funds to the child.
