I can't imagine Nate would be thrilled by that.

Yule, Becky, and Sundra want to vote out Ozzy the first chance they get since he wins everything. Other than that....pretty much same ole same ole.

Why didn't someone say that the finale was going to be on last night???? I almost missed it.

Now the withdrawal on Thursdays begins again.

I would have been happy with either Yul or Ozzy winning, but Yul was my favorite early on, so I was quite pleased. Good season. The next one looks very interesting.

I was rooting for Ozzy, but Yul was okay to win in my book too. They both clearly played the game the best. I am glad that at least Ozzy got the car. I didn't really like how the jury got to vote on F3 - what if each would have gotten three votes? (not that Becky was even in the running). They should go back to a jury vote on F2.

And I can't believe that Becky or Sundra were both unable to make fire, then they give them matches and they still cant!!!

Does anyone know who voted for whom - I think I may have missed that part. All that I caught was Adam voted for Yul.

I think that was the only vote that was announced. They didn't do the "raise your hand if you voted for Yul" thing. Although we know Parvati (spelling?) voted for Ozzy, and Jonathan voted for Yul. They showed those 2 during Tribal Council.

I like the final three. The benefit was that we didn't end up with a final two that included Becky. Under a final two structure, if Ozzy hadn't won the challenge, it might have been Yul against either Becky or Sundra, which would have been pretty boaring. Think how many seasons the most interesting and deserving players have ended up being third? And one of the final two was someone noone really thought was very deserving? The final three structure increases the odds that you really will have a competition between the best two, even if there is a third "also ran."

And how embarrassing that neither could make fire?

I wondered what Jeff was going to give them after matches if they still couldn't make fire. Blow torches?

And gasoline? Maybe with blow torches and gasoline they could have started a fire. Imagine if Becky would have run out of matches...

I would not have minded at all if Ozzy had won, but am happy with Yul's win.

BankerJen was correct in thinking that Jonathan was in Down Periscope. I happened to catch it this weekend and had my husband watch also. We both we pretty sure it was him and had confirmation when I watched the credits and his name showed up. The character he played was called "Spots". I was surprised they did not mention anything about it on the reunion show.

Does anyone think that Yul and/or Ozzy accomplished (or will accomplish) what they said they wanted re: changing the image of minorities from how they've been stereotyped in the media?

No, but I am sure that Survivor is going to help their acting career...their faces have been national TV for weeks now, probably will at least help them get there foot in the door.

So what's the next season of survivor gonna look like? I completely missed the whole finale last night, so I didn't get to see.

On one of the news programs they said that this diversity try was contradicted by the fact that almost all of the contestants came from LA. So this just confirms that most of the people on these shows are struggling actors trying to get TV time.

Actually, they actively went after minority contestants and that's why there were so many from LA. They were recruited because they didn't have enough minority applicants who could compete.

Although Jonathan probably didn't really need the help, having a whole slew of acting credits already, not to mention an Academy Award nomination for Best Short Film in 1994.

What I'd like to see is some people with true survival skills on the show. These folks would probably be more interested in a good chunk of chert to knap so they could make arrows and knives rather in a RC than being given food rewards. Of course, there'd have to be game available for them to take. However, that would probably lead to an animal rights protest. Never mind!

I agree, Bagweaver. That would be an exciting show! I think it would be fun to have an Armed Forces version. Four teams (five if you count National Guard) of five people from all the different branches. We'd definitely get some survival skills! Plus, think of all the "integrity" interpretations.

Or how about cops versus fire fighers? What's another profession that is rugged? Hmmm Lumberjacks versus Bar Bouncers?

How about Compliance Officers Vs. Lenders? That would be a blood bath........
