Grrr... I love being a Cowboys fan... How else can someone know that you have a good team, but the owner is throwing a monkey wrench in the whole shebang.

I wonder how many Ohio ST players are from south of the Mason-Dixon. Just cause you woo all our good southern ball players away with your fast women and greased palms doesn't make you a great team. The proof is in the history. Only 1 Northern team has played for a National title since 2000. Granted they won, but they were cheating. Now they go back, with a QB who cheated. Must be a huge source of pride for those in Ohio. Of course with the Browns and Bungles I guess you have to pull for someone.

A grand total of 11 southern players, although the Florida players don't count, IMO, as Florida is southern in geography only. Most all of the starters are from Ohio.

Troy Smith, admittedly, committed a minor infraction for which he served a suspension. As for your obvious crack on Clarett and the 2003 National Championship, what evidence do you have that Clarett was ineligible at the time? I mean, do you have some Earth-shattering evidence that the NCAA hasn't already reviewed? As for the "fast women and greased palms" comment, you must be confusing Ohio State with Colorado. I would have to say that football in the South is better than the North. Between Texas, Florida, & California (who I picked over Michigan), they produce the vast majority of NFL players. I think Ohio State is a great team but look they beat Texas whose QB had played one freakin game. I expect Ohio-Florida to be a good game but Florida played great teams week in week out.

Clearly 5 of the top 10 are north of the Mason-Dixon. Florida and California, IMO, cannot be considered truly southern states. Football rankings by state
