My plans involve a romantic evening with a man, great food, fine wine, toe-curling kisses and *other things*.

Yep...those are my "plans"...hmmmmm...now I've just gotta find the man. Ha!

I think TICG has some frequent flyer miles to use up, Ms. B.

Yeah, his wife would probably love to get rid of him for the evening.

LOL at KC.
I figured I could suggest TICG because Ms B was only asking for a man. She didn't use any descriptions such as "great" or "fine" for the man.
Just giving you a hard time TICG!!

I plan to go to Mohegan Sun for the afternoon, buy a good bottle of Shiraz on the way home to go with my porterhouse steak and lobster, and watch what I want on my TV in my room in the basement. If anyone wishes to join me I will gladly purchase more of everything.

Not too sure where the Land of Steady Habits is, but as long as I don't have to pass through Denver, Shiraz, steak and lobster sounds great!

I'm going to Chicago to party the New Year in with my son, who is recently 21. His bosses have graciously rented hotel rooms for us and are footing the festivities, so it should make for a great weekend!

Long shot, but anyone have any ideas on a last minute NYE driving trip, ultimately within 3-4 hours of Chicago, good for a family with two 2 year olds and a 13 year old, that might involve horses?

We are having a record warm Dec. too. We have had no snow in Dec this year but a good amt of rain, which we need. Suppose to rain again all day tomorrow.

You might try Galena, IL, CubDave. It's not a bad drive, lots to do and see there (there's lots of websites, just google "galena illinois"), horses available for trail rides a few places, antique shops, and some kid-geared stuff. I haven't been there this time of year, so I'd advise checking out the websites for hours and stuff that's open/closed and such.

Happy New Year, everyone! Be safe and have fun. I'm heading down to my college town after work tomorrow, with a bunch of friends I went to school there with (and spouses/significant others). It should be a really fun weekend... low key, just hanging out, laughing, talking, and enjoying some good wine and each others' company.

My anti-social New Year's Eve has been cancelled. My aunt called last night and I'm going over to her place to play games with my family.

Thanks! That actually almost worked. I found a place that takes dogs and entire families and had an opening for NYE, but the cabin that they had was not big enough, but I may do it later on. Thanks.

You're welcome, Dave. Whatever you and your family end up doing, I hope it's fun... and if you get the chance to visit Galena sometime, it's really neat.

We aren't doing anything that night. Probably watch movies and just stay in. Too many drunks on the road!

That's funny X. I always thought you had to walk in the path of Jesus to be able to bring somebody to him.

Here I am, sitting at home, fifth day of being sick, alone, well not really, my four kitties are here. The are taking turns cuddling with me. Ordered a pizza and watch TV Land's Catchphrases. What a sad life I lead.

I am pretty sick of being sick. Hopefully by Tues I will be well enough to go to work. Gee, that is something to look forward too.

Hope everyone else had lots of fun or were at least with someone for severe cuddling.
