We are a bank that will begin truncating and sending our cash letter electronically (check 21). Is it o.k. to send non-imagable items, bonds and canadian checks via the postmaster? Would we be violating and privacy rules or would we run into any security problems? Any feedback would be helpful.

That is how we were advised by the Fed to do it. We have been doing this for a little over a year.

Thanks for the confirmation. That was the way my operations department was advised to do it as well from the Fed, but they said to check with the compliance department too. If the Fed was saying to check with compliance I really didn't know where to go from there. Usually what the Fed says "goes".
