My husband and I have become addicted to the Food Network over the last several months. We're cooking a lot more often because of it, and it's great. We love Good Eats, Everyday Italian, 30 minute Meals, & Iron Chef. Anyone else out there enjoy the Food Network?

I love the Food Network, and I also believe that Bengals Fan is in love with Rachael Ray..

We watch the Alton Brown shows, Iron Chef and the cookoffs.

I don't watch it too often, but I do like 30 Minute Meals (don't know how she does it) and the Iron Chef. My son and I used to watch the old Iron Chef together a few years ago. Great shows and Alton Brown is wonderful (Good Eats).

HERE! I'm here!
I used to watch Rachel Ray, Iron Chef America and Barefoot Contessa, but my old man can't stand it (makes him hungry) so I don't watch them that often anymore.

Unwrapped is a very interesting show. And who could not like watching Emeril! Paula Deen is another great one and her sons now have a show on where they travel and try different things. It's really a good show. They have personality just like their mom!

Hopeless addict here. 30 Minute Meals, Paula Deen, Iron Chef, and Good Eats are my favorites...but I'll typically watch almost anything on there. The exceptions are Barefoot Contessa and Everyday Italian - those women are smug enough to rank right up there with Martha Stewart. Blech!!

Ooooh, I like unwrapped.

The Barefoot Contessa is just annoying, and the Everyday Italian babe is like a big head on a stick. I do think Rachael Ray is a real cutie! She'd probably be fun to hang out with.

I forgot about Unwrapped, we like that one too. My husband thinks that Alton Brown is great, so we watch everything that he does. I don't really care for Barefoot Contessa, but we do enjoy Everyday Italian. We have just started watching Emeril, so far we've enjoyed it. I love watching the competitions, the sugar sculpture and the birthday cake suprise competitions were great!

I am sorry, but I cannot stand Rachel Ray. She needs to calm down and needs to give an honest opinion on the food she eats. According to her there is no such thing as bad food, and you can tell by her thighs.

That is too funny!!! I got home last night and my daughter had on Rachel Ray. I had never watched the show. The recipe was interesting and I have been thinking of trying it. But I thought her thighs looked quite thick!!! I was thinking it was her pants but maybe not!!

Wow, you're a tough crowd. I think that Rachel Ray looks pretty good for someone who cooks and eats all day. Look at Emeril and his pot belly, I don't see people giving him slack.

Both of my brothers LOVE perky little Rachel. LOL!

Funny thing is...I hate to cook...but I LOVE watching the Food Network and I'm addicted to it. I'm fascinated by each individual chef and the way they prepare things.

State of confusion
My 5 year old won't watch TV for anything. Even cartoons that he likes, keeps his interest for about...5 minutes. However in the last 6 months he started watching the Food Network when I was watching something and is now ADDICTED!! Every night he wants to see if there are cooking shows on. He just LOVES Rachel Ray, she does have some really good ideas and they are all so fast!! Emeril, the Italian cook lady, Bobby Flay...any of them. It is the only thing I have found in 5 years that will keep him sitting still in the house for over 10 minutes!

Well it was an off handed statement. I would consider her fat (in my book), but if she was not so irritating I would not even mention it. I think the last thing Rachel needs is more food.

You go ahead and keep your skin and bones size 0 women. I personally think she's beautiful, and far from "fat'. She's very attractive and of average size.

I will thank you. It never hurt anyone to get out and run, keep in shape, and not throw every tidbit of food into your face (not your face - its a figure of speaking).

I literally watch the food network EVERYDAY! Rachel Ray is my favorite! Also, Semi-Homeade with Sandra Lee is great. I am a newlywed so i have been watching trying to learn how to cook! Its now football season and the other day Sandra Lee made Teryaki Drummettes and i cooked them for my husband during the Ole Miss football game and now He asks for them before every game and the guys just eat them up!! I love the food network!

I think Rachael is very pretty and I like her personality.
My daughter watches all those shows. She loves them. I bought her Rachael Rays' 30 min cookbook last Christmas and she has cooked some stuff out of it. I'm just a basic cook (when I want to ) and I'm glad my daughter likes to cook and try new dishes. So, those shows have been good to her and has taught her alot of things.

Rachal woould lick a frog, her eyes would get all big, a grin would form on her face. "Positively scrumtions". "Probably the best thing I have tasted in some time." Its just irritating, not everything is good.

I am referring to her show where she would eat for two days for under $40. She would be eating casino cookies and talking them up. It was irritating. She would talk up a tootsie roll.
