Have you tried searching on the Food Network? They usually have at least one recipe for what I might be looking for.

Sing, can't give you any details (saw it a while ago) but the diva did win. I read a blog by one of the judges that said the diva was not awed by Bobby's celebrity - sounded like he was not a happy camper with that experience. Next repeat I'm gonna watch his expressions more closely.

Has anyone watched any of the Chefography specials this week? I haven't watched them yet, but we have been recording some of them. I did watch the unwrapped episode about the Food Network Shows last night, and that was really interesting.
I've decided that Pesto is the best thing ever and we should have it in our kitchen at all times! LOL

I watched Rachel Ray and Bobby Flay's Chefography specials on Sunday. It's kind of neat to see where they came from and what their influences were. Rachel grew up in restaurants as a child and seemed to always be the "Overachiever" while Bobby dropped out of high school and only got interested in cooking when his father made him get a job at a restaurant.
I also enjoyed the behind the scenes look at the shows last night.
Gotta love the Food Network!

It's my favorite channel, and one of the few that my husband and I can agree on. I really want to see the Bobby Flay Chefography, he just seems like such a regular guy to me.
Did you catch the whole dream kitchen thing that was on over the weekend? The outdoor kitchen he designed for the couple in Vegas was amazing.

Anyone watching Dinner: Impossible? Very fun, but I want to know what happened to George #2!

I've been watching Dinner Imposssible for the last few weeks. I noticed that George 2 wasn't there for Rendell's party - has he been off other shows too?

Dream kitchens is the only show I try to avoid on Food Network, don't want to redo the kitchen right now and don't want to give my wife (or myself for that matter) any ideas!

The Rendell inauguration was the only one I've seen that was missing George #2, but Robert appeared to allude to having Barry "again" which made me think there was at least one other show where George was off. Maybe they'll show/explain that later.

I watched a few good shows over the weekend. There was a great episode of Unwrapped that was all about old time favorite candies.
There was a rerun of a challenge that was tandem cake decorating, 2 complete strangers making and decorating an elaborate cake without being able to talk to each other inbetween shifts...it was very interesting to see how they adapted.

I am very envious of all of you, I do not get the food channel. My son who is a Jr at College watches it all the time (especially Rachel Ray), and loves what he learns, he is always telling me about them.

After watching Sandra Lee's Chefogrophy, I have a new appreciation for her. I never really cared for her or her show, but she really has worked hard for everything she has and led a really hard life as a child.

I have Bobby Flay's taped, but I haven't watched it yet.
We've really been cooking a lot more since we've been watching the Food Network. Their enthusiasm for cooking is contagious!

My husband always makes fun of Sandra Lee because she makes a cocktail with just about every meal.
I haven't tried any of her recipes yet, but there are a few I wouldn't mind checking out.
Music Mom, you should check out the Food Network website. There are lots of great tips and recipes for you to enjoy.

She is a Wisconsin native...it goes along with the territory.

Did anyone watch the cheesecake throwdown last night? If you did, can you please tell me who won? I feel asleep right after Bobby suprised Alan from Juniors.

Bobby won. Alan chose to put his chocolate cheesecake up and the judges said that the chocolate overpowered the cheesecake and Bobby edged him out.

Wow, I am suprised. I have heard some great things about Juniors cheesecake, but I haven't tried one yet.
If I ever get to NY I am probably going to gain 20 lbs, there are so many great places there that I'd like to try.
