Would an indemnity agreement be necessary for a minor account if the indemnity discloses the same liabilities as the account agreement?

To me it sounds like you would be duplicating your work without adding any benefit if the indemnity agreement contains the same liablities as the account agreement.

As I was thumbing through a notebook yesterday from an Account Documentation Compliance seminar from back in 2004, I actually found this same agreement. It was sponsored by some Texas Bankers Association, not THE TBA, and co-sponsored by IBAT. So I guess I should have researched more on the issue before posting the question, but I just dont see, from a compliance perspective, why this agreement would be necessary.

I havent checked, but it might be possible that IBAT has this form on their website. Just guessing though.
