Give it a rest on the standing and sitting. Ain't nothing new here. They've always indicated which way they lean by standing and sitting, and clapping and yawning...blah, blah, blah. You can get a whole break down on the standing, sitting, toe-tapping etc. on Drudge, if you find it compelling. Heck, they even timed Pelosi's eyeblinks. Important stuff!!

That's ok, Bush missed Katrina too... (now if they could have convinced us that Katrina was started by islamofascists with WMDs bent on destroying the American way of life, maybe the administration would have paid attention)

ALL levels of Govt screwed up that whole deal. So now what? Money has been spent, hand over fist on getting the area back on track.

Well, I certainly can't speak for anyone else, MB, but for me, I wanted hear about the state of repairs that are going on, what types of plans are in place for future reconstruction, is there any money being pledged to continue to rebuild the area? This was a State of the Union address. Are we officially letting the Gulf area go? They are no longer a part of the Union? Seems like a pretty important topic to me.

This is the first State of the Union speech I refused to watch. I am normally a policial junkie, but I am fed up with both parties. All they look out for is themselves and getting re-elected and they put the needs of the country last.
