Recently reviewed procedures for our Fedline Advantage function. We are on a token-based certificate. We have four employees with tokens. When they leave work for the day, they are leaving their tokens in their desk drawers overnight. This does not not seem very secure to me. Just wondering what others may be doing to secure the tokens overnight. Or is it an issue I should be concerned about at all since they do need a pass phrase, a user ID and another password to get into the FRB sight.

Our primary Fedline users take their tokens home every night. The backup users leave their tokens in their desk drawers at night.

I would go out on a limb and say most banks either have the tokens go home with the employees or have them take them home each night. Of course, you could always lock them in the vault at night.

We have a locked key box in the wire room, and the wire room is kept locked when the wire operator is not there. Only the wire operator and the supervisor have a key to the wire room.

Each person here who has a Fedline Advantage token, locks it in a bank safe deposit box each night under dual control. When they arrive in the morning they get the token out of the box, also under dual control.

Thanks for the input. We will have to decide which way we want to go.

We take ours home each night. In case of disaster we can go to our contingency sight and be up and running. In our desk, they are useless if we cannot get to them.
