When completing a HUD-1 for a situation in which it is a divorce settlement and the husband is assuming all of the loan and getting the wife off of the mortgage, on what line would you list the price of the house? Since it's not a buy/sell, where would you write this in? Thanks in advance!

Why would you put the price of the house on the HUD? If husband is refinancing to pay wife off and remove her from title, you would list her settlement payoff figure as you would a lien holder payoff. Otherwise, if there is no payoff, you would just include the additional prep and recording charges for the deed to remove her from title. Unless I am missing something in what I read, this would be the prudent way to identify charges on your HUD.
