I am confused on our responsibility. We receive a court order to freeze funds in an account for a judgement against our cusotmer. We know as well as the customer that the only funds in the account are disability benefits. Should we still freeze the account and tell the customer that they must contact the court or debtor to have the order revoked or do we not freeze the benefit funds? Since we know disability benefits are exempt from judgement, any suggestions?

Read the court order. Most of them tell you exactly what you can or cannot do and who's responsibility it is to make the determination or file a protest.
