haha, that is what I told my boyfriend. I always thought Valentines Day was a lame excuse to tell someone you love them when you should be telling them you love 'em every day.

We're not going to do anything big this year, we just bought a new fridge this week (not by choice, ours died) so we'll probably just go to dinner one night. Wednesdays are horrible for our schedules, so it'll probably have to wait until Friday or Saturday.

There went my sapphire pendant...thanks fridge. LOL

Taking the advice given in the gift thread I started, I'm not doing anything big. I got him a big gift at Christmas, and it's our first together.

I got him a Dwight bobble head from the office, and a couple cd's and a card.

Sent her a beautiful orchid at her office with a poem I wrote (she loves orchids, doesn't particularly care for roses, and this one she can keep alive instead of having a cut flower).

The best part is, we've never really talked about WHERE she works in detail, so I had to do some research and get the address, etc. without her finding out. So, she won't expect it there at all.

i'm surprising her by visiting unexpectedly (i'm going down this weekend, too). i'm already selling off my etrade portfolio ( ) for the christmas present europe trip.

Good idea Angelina! I think I made the same comment in the gift thread, but you don't want to start big early in your relationship. You end up trying to top yourself and then you'll go broke!

you know, this is the first year ever that i will have a v-day date. we only met a month ago, so not sure what if anythign i shoudl get him.

this si so cool though...he looked up where my bank was and randomly showed up in my office on wednesday! he gave me a card askign if he coudl take me out for v-day with little boxes to mark yes or no. i marked yes and then he gave me a single red rose. it was so cute and sweet! i have no idea what we are doing but anythign would be special at this point
