Most of you who see me post on here know I am a fairly right-of-center conservative libertarian. Am I the only one who thinks Ann Coulter is losing it? I have read her books, and I have no problem with her use of sarcastic humor either in books or on TV, but I think she is fast becoming a poor spokesperson for conservatism, because she jumps to peripheral points when directly questioned on a topic. I know part of it is an act to make money, but c'mon.
She is a constitutional lawyer, very bright, but I honestly think Fox should bring in the far more knowledgeable and well-spoken Mark Levin whenever they want a conservative constitutional attorney's viewpoint. Mark Levin has far more experience, having served in the Reagan admin.
Jane Fleming handled herself much beter on Hannity and Colmes last night (and she is very hot looking).
ANy of my fellow Conservatives care to opine?

I think bringing in Mark Levin would be a great idea!
Did you happen to catch the video of the new satire series that Fox News is putting out? Rush as the President and Coulter as VP

Sorry, AMLFella, I can't claim to be one of your fellow conservatives. I consider myself a moderate. Nonetheless, you're dead on. It seems she rarely provides a direct answer to a question. In this way she's more like a politician than a lawyer. Whenever she opens her mouth, what I hear is similar to fingernails on a chalkboard.

Frankly, I am sick of the "flame-throwers" on both sides. The Presidential race is starting way too early for me. Fair enough. But I expect that from the Bill Mahers and Keith Olberman's of the universe. I'd prefer when the conservatives serve up something more concise, like George Will, Bill Buckley (is he still alive) and Levin.

I think she is fast becoming a poor spokesperson for conservatism... When was she a good one? What has she ever done other than make every effort to be outrageous and sell books?

But unless it is purely a ratings thing, Hannity needs to bring in someone else other than Coulter. I like Levin in that case. I think she is hurting our cause.

Fella...the funny thing is...supposedly Maher and Coulter are like best friends. And Maher is more libertarian then anything else. My co-worker and pal, who is himself a social liberal/fiscal conservative, just said almost the same thing. Alot of these people apparently get along better than they lead on, because they are in the business of generating ratings and making money. Case in point - Jim Carville's wife is an arch-conservative, and they go at it on TV, but you can catch side winks at oneanother. Admittedly, Maher is pretty libertarian on alot of issues.

Maher is more libertarian then anything else. Oh, please. What issue is Maher a libertarian on that any other died-in-the-wool liberal is not? I am so sick of hearing every liberal proudly declare themselves a libertarian just because they don't want any restrictions on abortion or drugs. Does he support ending social security and medicare? Ending federal government ownership of national parks? I'm sure he opposes the minimum wage, right? He does want to shutter the FDA, correct? I'm sure he is tireless in his support for a flat, regressive national sales tax to replace the progressive income tax. Certainly he advocates for the immediate repeal of "assault" weapon ownership restrictions? He is well-known for his opposition to utility regulation. And of course, who thinks "Bill Maher" without his constant demand to end real property taxes springing immediately to mind?

When he can get on TV one night and state something along the lines that U.S. Troops are now causing "the" terror, and the very next night on his own show state to Christopher Hitchens in his whiny voice "Of course we love our troops", it shows the guy is truly full of himself.

What I can't understand is how Maher gets the REALLY HOT chicks. Seriously, he dates some SMOKIN' women. Defies explanation other than he's on TV, but I guess that says it all.

Maher has called farmers the "biggest welfare queens in this country." Is that libertarian enough for you? Truthfully, J, I'm with NP. I had to give up on Maher's show because it seemed like nothing but a 60-minute-long anti-Bush rant.
