Our audit team is constanting writing up our branches for having their new account logs out of sequence. The branch logs the new account on a log and then enters the name of the customer, type of account, and date opened. Often times, when in a busy branch, accounts are opened simultaneously. Sometimes one today and one after cutoff(tomorrow) or my customer changed his/her mind and then the new account kit gets used tomorrow. All accounts are accounted for. HELP! Any suggestions in easing our audit team's opinion on this???? Thanks so much.

Could you log out a working supply (say a day or two's worth) to each new accts rep rather than the branch as a whole? That way, each rep would be able to keep their own in sequence without worrying about who finishes first, them or the person at the desk next to them.

Whats the purpose of the log? We don't use one. Seems like just another piece of paper to keep up with. Does it really help with the branch controls?

We do this and haven't had any problems.
