I just received a Fraud Prevention brochure from Washington Mutual. It, in part, states:

Quote:

"When you visit Washington Mutual, we may ask you to swipe your ATM card or Visa Check Card and enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) as a form of ID. Keeping your card secure and your PIN confidential is just one way to help secure your transactions"

Now that is an interesting approach! The latest "Know Your Customer" technique in a big financial institution setting, Wow!

I also recently received a Fraud Prevention Brochure from Downey Savings. Banks are not being asked to publish Fraud brochures, correct?
